How to connect multiple copper wires well, firmly, and durable without poor contact?
2024.12.24

In daily life, we often come into contact with multiple strands of copper wire. The advantage of this type of wire is that the copper wire is relatively thin, overall soft, easy to bend, and does not require too much effort; However, there are also drawbacks, such as having too many copper wires at the wire ends, not tightening them tightly during wiring, and easily causing poor contact. Today we will talk about the method of directly connecting multi strand wires.

When electricians connect multiple copper wires, there are three methods: single winding, rewinding, and wrapping. Regardless of which method is used, the multiple wires must be sequentially untied into a 30 degree umbrella shape, and each wire core must be straightened one by one with pliers, and the surface of the wire must be wiped clean with sandpaper.

The following mainly introduces the most commonly used single coil wiring method in construction. When connecting in a straight line, untie the cores of multiple wires in sequence, cut off the central strand, and then insert the ends of each opened wire into each other, fully contacting the center of each wire.
